Calling the Quarters, Tarot Style

  • Mood: impertinant

I did a reading with the Tarot De Paris last night. For some reason, the deck is very attractive to me...it's the artwork for sure. I tried a 6 card spread from the deck's book. It's called "The Rose Spread".
.....4....
3..1.6..5   (6 overlays 1)
.....2.....

1 - Your unconscious feelings about the question
2 - Fire influences on the subject of the question
3 - Air influences
4 - Earth/Matter influences
5 - Water influences
6 - conscious feelings about the question

My cards were
1 - Queen of Fire (wands)
2 - Ten of Water (cups)
3 - Five of Water
4 - Seven of Air (swords)
5 - Nine of Water
6 - The Universe (The World)

My question was about the spiritual path I'm in the process of choosing or defining, so I guess it makes sense that Air and Water would dominate. I thought the cards were a bit mixed in terms of message, though my overall impression is "go for it".

It was a bit rude of the cards to point out my frequent need to think fast on my feet because my best laid plans often go awry (Seven of Air -- and in the Matter quarter too )  At least I'm getting good at thinking fast on my feet.  Practice makes perfect
